10 Day Itinerary:

Day 1 London - Munich - Passau

Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® collects you from your home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Munich. On arrival, transfer to Passau and embark MS Serenade 1 (4T). A buffet is available on arrival, with time at leisure to settle in before a welcome cocktail and Captain’s gala dinner this evening.

Day 2 Melk - Vienna

This morning there will be free time in the small town of Melk, dominated by its spectacular Benedictine abbey which was completed in 1736. The grand interior displays exhibitions of religious art, while the abbey church is adorned with an abundance of gold, marble and colourful murals. We sail early afternoon to Vienna, where we dock overnight.

Day 3 Vienna

The Austrian capital is one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, and we embark on a guided tour today, taking in highlights such as St Stephen’s Cathedral, the State Opera House and the majestic Hofburg Palace. Later there will be free time for you to browse the shops along Kärtnerstrasse or just relax in a traditional Viennese coffeehouse and sample the excellent pastries. This evening we leave Vienna and sail back through the Wachau Valley towards the riverside town of Dürnstein.

Day 4 Dürnstein

One of the prettiest towns along the Danube, Dürnstein is watched over by the ruins of the hilltop castle where Richard the Lionheart was once held for ransom, and is surrounded by vineyards which produce some of Austria’s finest wines. Take a stroll along the cobbled lanes and maybe visit the baroque Stiftskirche (abbey church), with its landmark powder-blue bell-tower. Or join an optional orientation tour and wine tasting.

Day 5 Linz

With its wealth of baroque and neoclassical architecture, Linz is a joy to explore. Today you might like to join an optional walking tour, or make your way around at leisure. Perhaps visit the two cathedrals or view the artworks on display at the riverside Lentos Art Museum, which include paintings by Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. We depart this evening.

Day 6 Passau

We cross the border back into Germany today with a visit to the ‘Three Rivers City’ of Passau, which stands on the confluence of the rivers Danube, Inn and Ilz. The Old Town is a pleasant place for a walk, and well worth a visit is the baroque St Stephan’s Cathedral, home to the largest church organ in the world.

Day 7 Regensburg

This morning, our ship arrives in Regensburg, one of Germany’s best-preserved medieval cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to architectural treasures such as the Porta Praetoria, a Roman gateway built in AD 179 and the Gothic St Peter’s Cathedral. Our included excursion today is to the Benedictine Weltenburg Abbey, which was founded in the 7th century. It also houses what is said to be the oldest monastic brewery in the world, producing several high quality beers. Tonight, enjoy the Captain’s farewell gala dinner on board.

Day 8 Nuremberg - Prague

We disembark in Nuremberg this morning and transfer to Prague and our hotel, the Park Inn (4T), where we will be staying for two nights.

Day 9 Prague

There is so much to see and do in the beautiful Czech capital that you will really be spoilt for choice today. Explore the lanes and squares of the Old Town, visit the centuries-old synagogues of the old Jewish Quarter, Josefov, or explore the magnificent Prague Castle, where kings and emperors once held court and which is still the official residence of the nation’s president. There are numerous museums and galleries and live music venues across the city.

Day 10 Prague - London

Transfer to Prague airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London Heathrow. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
