10 Day Itinerary:

Day 1 London - Vienna

Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® collects you from your home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Vienna. On arrival, transfer to embark MS Serenade 1 (4T). A buffet is available on arrival, with time at leisure to settle in before a welcome cocktail and Captain’s gala dinner this evening.

Day 2 Vienna - Bratislava

We set sail early this morning and arrive in the capital city of Slovakia, Bratislava, where you are free to explore at your own pace. Alternatively, you may join our optional guided tour, taking in the highlights of this attractive little city, such as the medieval Old Town Hall, the rococo Mirbach Palace and the Gothic St Martin’s Cathedral. We depart early this evening.

Day 3 Budapest

A century ago, Budapest was, along with Vienna, the ‘twin capital’ of the vast Austro-Hungarian Empire, and this morning we will enjoy an included tour taking in some of the highlights of this historic city, such as the grand Parliament Building, which was modelled on the Palace of Westminster, Heroes’ Square and the Castle District - a UNESCO World Heritage Site home to a variety of museums, galleries and historic buildings. The remainder of the day is free for you to make your own discoveries, before we leave tonight.

Day 4 Esztergom

Hungary’s medieval capital and birthplace of the country’s first king, St Stephen, Esztergom is an important religious centre, and its Basilica is the country’s largest church, with a 72-metre high dome. You will have free time this morning to explore the city, which has a number of interesting museums and galleries, including the Hungarian Open Air Museum, where you can see a collection of historic village homes, farm buildings and exhibitions on traditional country life, or you can choose to join an optional guided tour of the city. We leave at lunchtime.

Day 5 Vienna - Melk

We return to Austria today, and its majestic capital city, Vienna, for an included excursion to the stunning Schönbrunn Palace this morning. A glorious example of baroque architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was once the summer residence of the Habsburg emperors. This afternoon, we depart Vienna, sailing through the lovely Wachau Valley to Melk, where we dock for the night.

Day 6 Melk - Linz

This morning there will be free time in the small town of Melk, dominated by its spectacular Benedictine abbey which was completed in 1736. The grand interior displays exhibitions of religious art, while the abbey church is adorned with an abundance of gold, marble and colourful murals. Sailing on this afternoon, we reach Linz, Austria’s third-largest city, where we stay overnight.

Day 7 Linz

With its wealth of baroque and neoclassical architecture, Linz is a joy to explore. This morning you might like to take a walk around the historic centre, visit the two cathedrals or view the artworks on display at the riverside Lentos Art Museum, which include paintings by Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. We leave this afternoon. Tonight, enjoy the Captain’s farewell gala dinner on board.
