8 Day Itinerary:

Folkestone - Amsterdam

Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® collects you from home for your journey to the Grand Hotel, Folkestone, where you will be greeted by Titan staff and meet your fellow travellers. Enjoy tea and coffee before boarding your coaches for the journey by Eurotunnel or ferry to Calais and onward to Amsterdam. Upon arrival, embark MS Serenade 1 (4T) where a buffet will be available before a welcome cocktail and Captain’s gala dinner this evening.

Amsterdam - Kinderdijk - Dordrecht

This morning we arrive in the pretty village of Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its 18th-century windmills, which we will visit on an included excursion. We sail onwards this afternoon, stopping in the historic city of Dordrecht, where you are free to make your own discoveries. Perhaps visit the medieval Grote Kerk (Great Church) and the Het Hof, where the Dutch states declared their independence from Spain in 1572. We depart late tonight.

Brussels

We arrive in the charming Belgian capital, Brussels, this afternoon, where you will have the day at leisure to explore at your own pace. Alternatively, you may choose to join our optional city sightseeing tour, taking in highlights such as the elegant main square, the Grand Place, the Gothic Town Hall, the Royal Palace and the striking stainless steel globes of the Atomium, built for the 1958 World’s Fair and now a museum and a popular symbol for the city. We leave tonight.

Antwerp

You have a full day to explore Antwerp, famous for its Diamond Quarter and tempting chocolate shops. Take a break in one of the many fine cafes and enjoy sights such as the Grote Markt (Great Market Square) the imposing Het Steen fortress and the Rubens House, where the old master once lived and worked, now a museum with period 17th-century furnishings.

Ghent

A guided tour will introduce you to the highlights of the engaging medieval city of Ghent this morning, including the 12th century Gravensteen (Castle of the Counts) and St Bavo’s Cathedral, home to the Ghent Altarpiece, painted by Jan van Eyck in the 1430s and regarded as one of the great masterpieces of the Northern Renaissance. The rest of the day is at leisure; Ghent has a number of interesting museums and galleries worth visiting, as well as some attractive parks and gardens. We sail on this evening.

Rotterdam

Europe’s biggest international cargo port, Rotterdam is also a major cultural centre and today we have an optional guided walking tour of the city, visiting the distinctive modern Market Hall, the innovative Cube Houses and the Erasmus Bridge. If you prefer, you could simply take the time to relax or explore independently.

Amsterdam

Returning to the characterful Dutch capital this morning, we enjoy an included tour through the city, taking in highlights such as the distinctive tall and narrow merchants’ houses that line the canals, the Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge), the central Dam Square and the Royal Palace. A trip along the canals is also included. Tonight, enjoy the Captain’s farewell gala dinner on board and there will also be entertainment on board.

Amsterdam - Folkestone

After breakfast we disembark and board our waiting coaches, to take us on the return journey to Calais and a Eurotunnel or ferry crossing to Folkestone. Upon arrival at The Grand Hotel, you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
